J & A Positive Image, LLCJ&A Positive Image is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) whose mission is to provide in-person, virtual, and/or hybrid therapeutic and rehabilitative services to individuals ages 5-65, with qualifying diagnoses. The PRP program assists primarily low-income clients with re-integration into their community and gaining access to resources that foster overall wellness, recovery, and improvement of their mental prognosis. J&A Positive Image serves Howard County and other surrounding areas and is committed to individuals of all races, ethnicities, gender, etc. The program has accommodations presently for Medicaid insurance, only.410-796-2039

Laurel Advocacy and Referral Services, Inc. (LARS)​​LARS empowers individuals in need
of food, housing and financial assistance ​to achieve well-being, stability and self-sufficiency.

To qualify for services at LARS, you must reside in one of the four Laurel zip codes (20707, 20708, 20723, or 20724) or be homeless in the Laurel area.

The following services require an appointment: Financial Assistance, Clothing Voucher, Eye Glasses Voucher, SNAP Applications or Renewals, Obtaining an ID/SS Card and Mail Sign-Ups. 

No appointment needed for food assistance on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (Clients can still schedule on Wednesdays appointment can still do so).
